Join us as we sing and celebrate Jesus, the King of Kings!

Join us at our 10 am worship on Sunday, December 15 for a special musical treat. Our own choir and band will share Noel! Born Is the King!, a cantata of wonderful Christmas music and singing by both choir and congregation.

You’re invited to celebrate with us the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Christmas Eve. At 4 pm we’ll hold a short, child-focused service, and at 7 pm our traditional candlelight service. 

Come enjoy the story of Christ's birth told by our youngest members. Be ready for both adorable and funny things to happen as we prepare for the coming of the Lord. Children will rehearse after church on December 15.

Adult Advent Devotions are available in the narthex for you to pick up. If you are unable to come to the church to pick one up, please let us so that we can get one to you. Advent begins December 1, 2024.

Thank you to all who responded to our generosity campaign: Why Make an Offering? We heard that an offering is much more than merely providing for the church. It’s following God’s example of giving in Jesus Christ; it’s thanksgiving and blessing, and a celebration of how much God has done for us. If you have not returned your 2025 Estimate of Giving Card or pledged online., we’d love to hear from you and have you join our celebration as we respond to God together. 

In worship this Sunday we will be praying for Mission House, a Jacksonville Beach charitable day facility which provides counseling, meals, clothing, showers and medical care for unhoused and needy individuals in our community. The goal of Mission House is to guide individuals to self sufficient and meaningful lifestyles. HBPC provides a monthly lunch and dinner to support this program.

Chapel is so much fun! We learn to praise God through song and stories. We invite you to join us for Pastor's story time on December 2 and 3 at 9:00 am. You are also welcome to join us for our Christmas Chapel on December 18 or 19 at 9:15 am.

Arlington Community Services Update

Let's get ACS ready for the holidays by donating all the fixings for a wonderful holiday meal - canned cranberries, green, beans, corn or yams, stuffing mix, dried potatoes, canned pumpkin with a pie crust (not frozen). If you can donate one frozen turkey or chicken, please leave it in the right side of the HBPC freezer. Thank you!

Several people asked about how to donate to the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance for Hurricane Helene. PDA established one fund several years ago to be used for all hurricanes and typhoons. PDA is already at work here in Florida assisting not only with Helene recovery but also Debby. They are also going into Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.
