Sunday Morning ChildrenK – 5th Grade Room 3 10:15 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. At 10:15 a.m. we are going to “power up.” The name of this class is Spiritual DNA. Ms. Debbie is going to lead the class this summer. It is based on Belonging to God – A First Catechism. By the end of the summer your child will be able to answer questions about their faith with understanding and clarity. The first two catechism questions for this Sunday are:
Q & A #1: Who Are You? I am a child of God. Q & A #2: What does it mean to be a child of God? That I belong to God, who loves me. |
Other Events
Tween Outings3rd-5th Grade Once a month at different times depending on event Contact: Debbie Abbott or 223-6922 Monthly outings and activities with a really fun group of kids. The purpose of these events is to cultivate friendships and to get real about faith. As we play, real conversations about life and God tend to bubble to the surface. |
Spark PatrolPreK- 3rd Grade Times / Locations TBD (Frequency Depends on Project) Contact: Alice Harper or 503-3665 Young children learn about serving others by participating in activities such as delivering used toys to refugee children, assembling goody bags for cancer patients, or helping in the B.E.A.M. Community Garden. |
FLAME (Friends Learning About Mission Enthusiastically)Rising 4th-6th Grade TBD Contact: Debbie Abbott or 223-6922 Hands on experience of serving others is what these children gain. Each day they will go to some place different to serve like a nursing home, Dignity U Wear, School Depot, Humane Society, etc. |
Camp HopePreK-5th Grade June 21 – June 25 @ 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Contact: Debbie Abbott or 223-6922 This camp will follow the familiar VBS footprint of Art, Games, Science and Meditation Stations. A hope filled week of singing, games, arts, science and faith journey for kids. Children are encouraged to talk about their faith and connect it to their every-day-lives. (6th graders and older will be given leadership opportunities.) |
