A look at Jacksonville. The complete route has not been set - some walking - lots of looking - always eating - maybe some ice cream.

We will depart Hodges at 9:00 am and return mid-afternoon. The cost will be your food and your split of the gas. Anyone interested in participating must text or call Herb Ramsdell at 904-813-4448. The church bus holds 13 people on a first come bases, others may carpool. 

The church is seeking volunteers to count our Sunday offerings. We need two individuals each week. Counting can occur after the service or the next morning following the service. Training will be provided. Contact Ray Brandstaetter to volunteer or with questions rbrandstaetter@hbpcusa.org.

Have you ever wanted to sing with a choir? Come join the Summer Choir starting in June. We will meet each Sunday morning at 9:30 am in the Sunrise Room to rehearse the hymns for the day and anything else special that we may do. No long-term commitment is required. This Sunday, we will be praying for Family Promise, one of our valued mission partners that helps families experiencing homelessness find stability, housing, and hope. We are grateful for the members of our congregation who will be attending an afternoon performance at the Alhambra Theatre in support of Family Promise. As they gather for an afternoon of fellowship and encouragement, may their participation help raise awareness and support for the important work Family Promise does in our community. We give thanks for all who volunteer, donate, and advocate on behalf of families working toward a brighter future.

We provided groceries to 378 clients, 199 homeless and helped 4 families financially in May. We received 8,077 pounds of food and distributed 6,263 pounds.

We are in our new location at 1351 Sprinkle Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32211, in classroom 13 & 14 on the Underhill Dr. side at Arlington Presbyterian Church.

Pantry needs are: hamburger, hot dogs, ground beef and turkey, chicken, canned meats, canned tuna, chili, canned tomatoes, Pasta sauce, Jelly, Canned fruit, Canned pasta, Dry milk, crackers, cereal/protein bars, peanut butter crackers, bar soap, toilet tissue, toothpaste, clean gently used T-shirts and Bibles.

Please place any meat donations in the freezer in the church kitchen.

You have already received or will soon receive Pastor Jon’s letter announcing Rooted in Renewal, the theme for the 2026 Generosity focus. Session Committees are making plans for 2026, and we need an indication of your giving for 2026.
