For the spring of 2026 you're invited to try to see the world through Martin Luther’s eyes. Few people outside the Bible have had a more profound effect on the Christian faith and Western civilization of today. How did Luther live? Why was he so influential? What were his views of scripture, The Book of James, our jobs, the Lord’s Supper, and The Apocrypha (what is the Apocrypha)? We’ll spend the 2ndand 4th Wednesdays of January through April trying to answer these questions and more. Join us, 7:30 PM in Fellowship Hall.

In worship this Sunday, we will be praying for the gift of shelter and community. We lift Beaches Habitat and the new development being built with our support. Bless the hands that design, build, and provide, and bless the families who will one day call these houses their homes. May this progress be a sign of hope, dignity, and love in our community. Strengthen our partnership so that, together, we may continue to build not just homes, but lasting foundations of faith, stability, and peace.

You have already received or will soon receive Pastor Jon’s letter announcing Rooted in Renewal, the theme for the 2026 Generosity focus. Session Committees are making plans for 2026, and we need an indication of your giving for 2026.
We invite you to be part of God’s renewal among us by estimating your giving on or before Sunday, November 3, either using a card in the Narthex or online (use the PLEDGE tab at the top of the homepage http://www.hbpcusa.org). Become a part of God’s renewal at Hodges.

November flew by! We provided groceries to 607 clients and 256 homeless. We received an amazing outpouring of love from the community, receiving 14,377 pounds of food and many monetary donations! We were certainly blessed this Thanksgiving to be able to help our neighbors in need.
Our pantry needs this month are hamburger, ground turkey, meat, pasta sauce, jelly, clean T-shirts, and gently used Bibles.
Please place any meat donations in the freezer in the church kitchen.
