Martin Luther changed church forever. Join us for our last class on April 22, 7 pm, Fellowship Hall, where we try to see the world through his revolutionary eyes. How did he change our views of vocation and the priesthood? You’re invited to come find out, and to give input on what we want to cover in the Fall.

Are you retired, have some free time during the week and would like to visit places of interest, both locally and within day trip distance? The “Wayfarers” may be what you are looking for.

The Wayfarers is a group of people who seek out educational and/or interesting places to visit and even some unique places to eat. If this sounds like something you want to know more about, please join us for discussion and planning on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 10:30 am in the Fellowship Hall.

We give thanks for the ministry of the Holms in Malawi, who are part of our church’s mission family. We pray for God’s continued guidance, strength, and protection as they serve their community, study, and build lasting relationships. May their work bear good fruit and reflect Christ’s love.

We provided groceries to 480 clients, 271 homeless, and helped 5 families financially in March. We received 6,696 pounds of food and distributed 7,957 pounds of food.

Pantry needs are: hamburger, hot dogs, ground beef and turkey, chicken, canned meats, canned tuna, chili, canned tomatoes, pasta sauce, jelly, canned fruit, canned pasta, dry milk, crackers, cereal/protein bars, peanut butter crackers, bar soap, toilet tissue, clean T-shirts and gently used Bibles.

Please place any meat donations in the freezer in the church kitchen.

You have already received or will soon receive Pastor Jon’s letter announcing Rooted in Renewal, the theme for the 2026 Generosity focus. Session Committees are making plans for 2026, and we need an indication of your giving for 2026.

We invite you to be part of God’s renewal among us by estimating your giving on or before Sunday, November 3, either using a card in the Narthex or online (use the PLEDGE tab at the top of the homepage http://www.hbpcusa.org).  Become a part of God’s renewal at Hodges.
