Property Work Day

All Ages

Approximately 4 Times a Year on a Saturday Morning @ (7:30 a.m. – TBD)

 

Come when you can. Stay as long as you can.  Help trim bushes, pull weeds, wash windows, etc..  Whatever your skills are,  (electrical, plumbing, painting, or don’t know which end of the hammer to use, etc.)  you can make a difference. Help to keep our church shining and beautiful.

Routine garden work such as weeding, blowing, watering, pruning and planting is needed for this special area of our church grounds.  Many people come here to meditate and pay respect to loved ones, so it is important for it to look its best.

Smile and let the love of God welcome all who come to worship. Greeters work the front door, welcoming members and visitors alike.

Worship Ushers

Hand out bulletins, collect the offering, answer questions, and help families young and old feel welcome. Ushers will be in the sanctuary looking for newcomers whose faces say they feel lost. We are the ones who make our visitors feel at home.

VBS Volunteers

6th Graders-Adults

One Week Each Summer

 

Drama, Crafts, Registration, Games, Crew Leading, Snacks, and more are all areas that need dedicated, children-loving volunteers.  Each summer for one week, we need approx. 70 adult and youth volunteers to help shepherd 130-plus very energetic kids.

Each time we take our children or youth to activities in town, or to camp or on a mission trip, we need to have at least one adult chaperone present (age 21 and above).  This is for the safety of the children as well as other chaperones.

If you love children and want to be a part of their church life, you will find this truly a meaningful way to do it.   Receive training and become a part of a team for your age group (PreK-K, 1st-3rd or 4th-5th).   You set your schedule with your team and either lead the class or assist the teacher by helping with crafts, discipline, etc.   Background checks are required and special Safeguarding God’s Children Training is a must.  (We will provide both of these.) Volunteers lead children in Bible studies, games and activities. Material are provided.

Wednesday @ 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in Choir Room

 

Share your voice and love of music. Join the fellowship of the choir on Wednesday nights and rehearse beautiful sacred music to sing at the 11:00 a.m. worship service for the glory of God.

 

 

 

Technical Support in Worship

Must be Computer Savvy

Be trained to create and run slides for worship or learn the intricacies of the soundboard. Soundboard tech would need to be available on a Wednesday night (7:00 p.m. – 8:45 p.m.) and on the following Sunday morning (7:45 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. or 10:50 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.). Schedules will be worked out with the head contact person.

Office Volunteers provide assistance and support to the church staff by answering the phone, assisting with mailings, bulletins, and recording attendance among other tasks. This ministry is often the first contact with visitors, community, and church members on a day-to-day basis.
