Who We Are
Hodges Boulevard Presbyterian Church is a diverse and inclusive congregation united by the love of Jesus Christ, passionately committed to spiritual growth through Biblical preaching, teaching and Christ-centered worship, and specifically aimed toward equipping believers for service that reflects the grace of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
HBPC seeks to be a faith community that bears witness to the risen Christ by:
- inviting people to engage in and live the Gospel;
- worshiping God in authentic yet creative ways;
- journeying through life together as a community where healing, transformation and deep joy are experienced; and
- participating in God’s redeeming, healing work of all creation by serving our neighbors and the world through acts of love, compassion and justice.
We typically have two services on Sunday morning:
- Our Contemporary Worship is from 9-10 am
- Our Traditional Worship is from 11 am-12 pm.
Currently, we have ONE SUNDAY SERVICE THIS SUMMER – 10:00 A.M. WORSHIP (goes through September 9)
While the message is the same at both services, the Contemporary Worship has a praise music vocal team and band; and the Traditional Worship music includes the organ, choir, piano and hymns. In a relaxed atmosphere, the worship music is inspiring, and the Bible-based messages are meaningful and relevant to daily life. What’s more, we like to eat! Please join us for refreshments served on the patio between services.

What should I wear?
At our services, you’ll see people dressed in a wide range of attire, from jeans or shorts to dress clothes. Please come as you are and dress comfortably.
How do I get there?
We are located at 4140 Hodges Boulevard at the intersection of Hodges Boulevard and Chets Creek Drive.
What about my children?
“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these,” said Jesus in Matthew 19:14.
We believe that children of all ages are a gift and treasure from God, and they are to be taught and raised up to know just how much they are loved. They are always welcome in service … wiggles, giggles and all.
At Hodges, we strive to partner with parents in laying a firm faith foundation so that each child will become a lifelong follower of Jesus Christ, and grow to know, love and serve Him.
Our greeters will be happy to help you and your children. Ask them for an activity clipboard for their time in worship.
Our staffed and secure Nursery and Preschool area is located in the Education Building. It is open and welcoming from 8:45 am until the end of the 11 am service. Check-in is in Room 1. Feel free to bring your infants, toddlers, preschoolers and kindergartners here at any time. We encourage preschool and kindergarten-aged children sit with you in worship until the Children’s Moment. After the Children’s Moment, Nursery staff will escort the children to their special room in the Education Building.
A Wiggle Room is located at the rear of the sanctuary for parents who wish to keep their wiggling babies and toddlers with them. A changing table and rest room is also in this room. In the Wiggle Room, you will be able to see and hear the service as well as know that your child is entertained and contained.
1st Through 5th Grade
Have your elementary-aged child sit with you in the main sanctuary at the start of service. After the Children’s Moment, they’ll be excused to go to the Fellowship Hall for their own time of worship and Bible exploration. We offer a lot of other activities and educational opportunities in our Children’s Ministry.
Middle School and High School Youth
Youth remain in the sanctuary for the worship service. We offer many other activities and educational opportunities in our Youth Ministry at different times.
