Several people asked on Sunday how to donate to the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance for Hurricane Helene. PDA established one fund several years ago to be used for all hurricanes and typhoons. PDA is already at work here in Florida assisting not only with Helene recovery but also Debby. They are also going into Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina. PRESBYTERIAN DISASTER ASSISTANCE

In church this Sunday we will pray for Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA). Please join us in praying that more PDA funds will be available for a Spring trip for Hodges volunteers and for the Construction Manager to guide us to do the right things for the homeowners. Please pray for those people who are suffering with losses from the destruction of Hurricane Helene and let us be generous in our support for all the efforts of PDA.

We could use your help in Children's Worship and the Nursery during worship. "JoAnne do I need to teach?" No, you don't. We need folks to be the second adult to keep us within our policy of always having 2 adults. Jenni shares the lesson with the little ones in the nursery and JoAnne leads the lesson in Children's Worship. This is a great opportunity to build relationships not only with the children but their parents!

The Presbyterian Women will be selling the new Bible study book after church this Sunday and next. Both Circles will meet to begin our new study on September 17. Afternoon Circle meets at noon and Evening Circle meets at 7:00 pm, at the church.

We have resumed our Wednesday night choir rehearsals. If you are interested in singing in the Worship Choir, email Duane Carter here.

We give bus passes to help our homeless find employment and 3 of our homeless got jobs. We distributed 6,727 pounds of food and received 7,046 pounds. We served 489 clients, 262 homeless and helped 12 families financially. 

Pantry needs are: canned pasta, chili, soup, canned meat, Vienna sausage, canned vegetables and fruits, pasta sauce, instant potatoes, jelly, crackers, peanut butter crackers, cereal/breakfast bars, snacks, clean T-shirts and gently used Bibles.

If you requested the altar flowers be dedicated to someone or something so far this year, please check your records that you have paid. Each bouquet is $30. You may pay online or note "flowers" on your check. Thank you!
