Our FLAME students delivered 967 lbs. of food to Arlington Community Services from our "Fill the Canoe" food drive! Thank you FLAME and thank you to everyone who contributed.

No discipleship group for the summer. We will resume in the fall.

We are in need of volunteers in the nursery and with Children's Worship. When Faith + 1 is playing the whole service, Eli can't be two places at the same time. We need volunteers to leave with Jenni and the children for the nursery each week, until Eli can finish up with playing "Family of God".

Ms. JoAnne will be away this Sunday, Ann Marie will be leading Children's Worship, but we need a volunteer July 28.

We will be blessing our backpacks on Sunday, August 11. All are invited to bring their backpacks, bags, and briefcases as we prepare to start school.

Celebration Sunday, formerly known as Rally Day, will be Sunday, September 8. We will have a covered dish brunch following our worship service, and the opportunity to learn more about all the ministries here at Hodges.

Join us as we embark on a journey of inter-faith dialogue through our Scriptural Reasoning series. This unique approach brings people of different faiths together to read and reflect on their scriptures, not seeking agreement but exploring texts and their interpretations across faith boundaries. It's about learning to 'disagree better' and fostering deeper understanding and respect.

Happy summer from the preschool! We will be back to school in just a few short weeks!

We had some fun summer camps and are now preparing the rooms for the 2024-2025 school year.

We currently have a few spaces open, so please let your neighbors and friends know. New families can reach me at 904-254-7304.

We welcome back all our loving staff with an additional 2 teachers as we were able to add another VPK classroom.

We are still collecting used tennis balls to use on the chairs in classrooms. Please keep us in prayer as we prepare to welcome new families and friends.

Over 50 children were at Hodges during VBS learning about the love of Jesus, making new friends, and generally just having fun! We thank all of our volunteers for their time and hard work in this rewarding community ministry.

A very special THANK YOU goes out to all the volunteers who helped make Camp Firelight a success and to the families that shared their

children with us this week. We hope your children learned about the stories of Jesus and his wonderful love for us. We also appreciate the donations of time, money, energy, supplies, and decorations! If you let us borrow any items, please pick them up in the Fellowship Hall this week.

We have provided groceries to 343 clients, 164 homeless, and helped 8 families financially so far this month. We are busy!

We continue to give thanks to the congregation’s response to our “Blessed to Be a Blessing” generosity campaign. We have received 53 pledges totaling $458,546. At this point we expect 2024’s total income to be $615,000 and total expenses to be at $676,000.

We hope to hear from those who have not responded as we continue to evaluate our expectations, before we complete our plan for next year.
