CONFESSION

CALL TO CONFESSION (Luke 15:7)

Dante Blunt

Indeed, God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Violette Roberts

Lord, one of the many reasons we can be filled with hope and joy this morning is not because we are deserving of your mercy but because you are so quick to grant it. We confess that when life sometimes gets hard, we do not always go to you first. At times we may try to rely on our own efforts and allow our emotions to be in control instead of you. As we seek your forgiveness this
morning, help us to find ways to think, speak and act as Jesus taught us so that we can better reflect his example…(moments of silence)

ASSURANCE (Psalm 30:5)

Lily Morgan

For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.

Rev. Dr. Jonathan T. Swanson, Pastor

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
