CALL TO CONFESSION (Psalm 65:3)
When deeds of iniquity overwhelm us, you forgive our transgressions.
PRAYER OF CONFESSION
God of Peace, over the ages you have called us to live as peacemakers. You have called us to be a “shalom” people. You have called us to be Children of God. We confess that we have not always lived out this calling. We do not always remember those who have come before us. We do not want to face the difficulties of being your disciples. We take the easy way out. Forgive us, gracious God, in Christ’s holy name. Amen.
ASSURANCE (2 Corinthians 5:17)
So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!
Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
And to the Holy Ghost;
As it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be:World without end. Amen. Amen.

May our meditations be pleasing to him, for we rejoice in the LORD. Amen.
OLD TESTAMENT READING (Leviticus 15:25)
If a woman has a discharge of blood for many days, not at the time of her impurity, or if she has a discharge beyond the time of her impurity, all the days of the discharge she shall continue in uncleanness; as in the days of her impurity, she shall be unclean.
NEW TESTAMENT READING (Matthew 9:18-26)
While he was saying these things to them, suddenly a leader of the synagogue came in and knelt before him, saying, “My daughter has just died; but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live.” And Jesus got up and followed him, with his disciples. Then suddenly a woman who had been suffering from hemorrhages for twelve years came up behind him and touched the fringe of his cloak, for she said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be made well.” Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, “Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And instantly the woman was made well. When Jesus came to the leader’s house and saw the flute players and the crowd making a commotion, he said, “Go away; for the girl is not dead but sleeping.” And they laughed at him. But when the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took her by the hand, and the girl got up. And the report of this spread throughout that district.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE AND LORD’S PRAYER
Eternal God, we rejoice this morning in the gift of life, which we have received by your grace, and the new life you give in Jesus Christ. Especially we thank you for the community in which we live and opportunities to give as we have received.
God of grace, we offer our prayers for the needs of others and commit ourselves to serve them as we have been served in Jesus Christ. Help us to be instruments of your compassion in a world plagued by coronavirus. We ask all this through Christ our Lord, who taught us to pray saying: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
