As you may have noticed, our population of children has increased, which is a blessing. With the increased numbers we need folks to volunteer in the nursery as well as assist with Children's Worship. Both areas give you an opportunity to build relationships with our youngest members. Please ponder on giving one Sunday in a quarter to our children. IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO JOIN!
This year we’ve been falling more in love with God through the amazing Book of Hebrews, but it’s changing. On Wednesday, April 17, we met again to learn about a new phase in the book and a change in the strategy of the writer. As we shift, it’s a great time to get onboard with the study. One more change: In May we’ll meet the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month, so May 8 and 22. Same time, 7 pm, and same place, Fellowship Hall. Hope to see you there!

Come join the choir for our Festival of Hymns!
We will rehearse weekly on Wednesday evenings at 6:30. Music will be provided along with recordings of each song that are part-specific. There will be two mass rehearsals here at HBPC with the other churches performing. Dress rehearsal is on June 1 and the performance on June 2.

We were blessed to provide groceries to 394 clients, 220 homeless and helped 5 families financially in March. Five of our homeless were able to find jobs and we continue to provide bus passes for our homeless to go to job interviews and work!
Pantry needs are: canned pasta, chili, canned meat, tuna, Vienna sausage, canned fruit, rice, crackers, peanut butter crackers, protein/breakfast bars, snacks, clean T-shirts and gently used Bibles.

We continue to give thanks to the congregation’s response to our “Blessed to Be a Blessing” generosity campaign. We have received 53 pledges totaling $458,546. At this point we expect 2024’s total income to be $615,000 and total expenses to be at $676,000.
We hope to hear from those who have not responded as we continue to evaluate our expectations, before we complete our plan for next year.
Please consider your blessings, as we plan for next year, and how we at Hodges Boulevard Presbyterian Church may respond to God’s call.
If you have already submitted your 2024 Estimate of Giving, we thank you. If you have not, we ask you to please do so by submitting it by mail or online. We pray you will be generous in your giving to our church in the coming year.
