On Sunday, March 23, at 11:15 am, after the worship service, we will be dedicating the McLaughlin Columbarium and re-dedicating the Tebbs Memorial Garden with a service and refreshments. Join us for this celebration. 

The Outreach Mission Team has plans to participate in the Tenikka's Books for Kids book donation on a yearly basis. Here are some ideas for places to purchase books for reasonable prices throughout the year: yard sales, dollar stores, and sales at any of our larger stores such as Target and Walmart. 

Again, thank you all for donating over 2,100 books which will be distributed to area children through the library summer reading programs. 

We are re-activating our Handbell Choir with the intent to ring the handbells on Easter Sunday. If you are interested, please contact Duane Carter at carter@hbpcusa.org

The Women’s Bible Study group will be starting a Lenten study on Wednesday mornings at 10am starting March 9th. All women are invited to join us. Please let Jaimie or Kathy know if you will be joining us. Books are $11.

In worship this Sunday we will be praying for the unhoused families we will sponsor the week of March 16 through Family Promise. Hodges will provide meals and laundry supplies for 3 families who are working toward stable housing and employment. Last year, with our help 9 families successfully found stable housing, childcare and employment.

We will continue our engaging study of Christian art on Wednesday, March 26, 7 pm in Fellowship Hall. You’re invited, online or in person, to see what God is teaching us in pictures.

We received 7,218 pounds of food and distributed 6,666 pounds in February. We served 408 clients and 187 homeless. Three of our homeless are working toward getting homes.

Pantry needs are ground turkey, hamburger, hot dogs, canned tuna, jelly, canned tomatoes, canned pasta, canned chili, saltines, canned milk, cereal, cereal bars, canned and dry potatoes, snacks, tooth paste, tooth brushes, bar soap, toilet tissue, clean T-shirts and gently used Bibles.

Please place any meat donations in the freezer in the church kitchen.

Financial Secretary

The HBPC Human Resources committee is currently searching for a Financial Secretary. This is a part-time position of 20-25 hours per week. The Financial Secretary provides bookkeeping and accounting services to the church. If you are interested please contact Tim Keeley, search chair, at hbpc_hr@hbpcusa.org.

For the safety of our church family policy requires us to conduct a background check on all volunteers every five years. We have sent background forms to new volunteers.  If you currently volunteer for our church and your check is more than five years old, we will update your status beginning January 28, 2025. If you do not wish to be subject to the check and so not continue to volunteer with Hodges, please alert the office.
